Jerrica Escoto is earning a double major in Literature & Writing and Women’s Studies, with a minor in Philosophy at California State University, San Marcos. She is particularly interested in the oral histories and personal narratives of girls and women who have been the targets of sexual violence and assaults by U.S. military personnel, as well as the effects of U.S. militarism on Filipina women and girls. Jerrica is a performer of spoken word poetry and an active member of the San Diego spoken word community. She plans to dedicate herself to a life of activism for social change.
